Description

🟡 Medium

Use a free AI chat to build your own personal webpage. No coding needed — the AI writes all the code. One file, done in ~15 minutes.

What you need

  • Any free AI chat: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot (all have free tiers).
  • Any browser.

Steps

  1. Fill in the blanks in this prompt:
My name is ___. I'm ___ years old. I'm based in ___ (country or
state, whatever you're comfy sharing).
Day to day I'm ___ (studying, working, side hustle, freelancing —
however you make it happen).
When I'm not busy I'm into ___.
The music I keep coming back to is ___ (band, artist, genre, whatever).

Build my personal webpage as ONE HTML file: dark theme, big name
header, sections About / My Day / Free Time / Music, emojis, hover
effects, one fun fact about me in a colored box. Everything in one
file, no external files.
  1. Paste it into the chat. It gives you code.
  2. Save the code as mypage.html and double-click it to open in your browser. If it looks broken, tell the AI what's wrong and let it fix it.
  3. Ask 1-2 follow-ups to make it yours: "change the colors", "add a section for my favorite game", "make the header cooler".
  4. Submit the file.

Make it yours (optional, pick any 3)

Favorite movie/show/game, favorite food, dream job, a fun fact about you, favorite quote, links to your socials.

âš ī¸ Important

  • Cover the basics somewhere on the page: name, age, rough location, what your day looks like, free-time stuff, and music you love. Keep it how YOU want it — open-ended is fine, one line is fine. Only share what you're comfortable with — never your address, phone number, or real-time personal info.
  • No placeholder text ("Your Name Here", lorem ipsum) left on the page. Rejected.
  • Let the AI write all the code — that's the point of the task.

What to Submit

Upload 1-2 screenshots of your page open in a browser (full page visible, your content readable).
In the notes field:

name | the name on your page
sections | what sections it has (e.g. About, Music, Fun)

Example notes:

name | DanaK
sections | About, Music, Fun, Contact

Rules

  • One HTML file, everything inline (CSS inside the file is fine, external files/links not needed).
  • The page must actually open and look like a personal page, not a broken pile of code.

What success looks like

A screenshot anyone can read: your name, your sections, no placeholder text, clearly your work — a stranger can tell what the page is about in seconds.

  • Many workers can each do this task — but only your own page, built for this task, counts.

Make sure you can deliver before claiming — you're committing to complete it.
